” There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story in you”

– Maya Angelou

It is confusing to be consumed by the blazing fire of an untold story. It was the same for Ayan Gogoi Gohain, who is the youngest author of India. Ayan achieved this extraordinary feat when he was just four years old, an age in which children stutter and stammer to get things right.

Meet 4-year-old Ayan Gogoi Gohain, the 'Youngest Author of India'

“I see what’s happening around and write about it. It could be anything a chat with my grandfather, or something new I just learned”

– Ayan Gogoi Gohain.

This eighty-page book written by Ayan Gogoi has thirty anecdotes and thirty accompanying illustrations. It is priced at Rupees 250, and it is available at all the major online stores in India. According to the book’s blurb, “The amazing journey of Ayan’s Honeycomb started when he began to address his insatiable hunger for words, colors, sounds, tastes, and sights.”

After this publication, the child prodigy from Assam was congratulated worldwide for his outstanding talent. His second book published recently is titled Bumblebee. This book is a compilation of 33 articles written on different subjects. Remarkably, Bumblebee’s cover image is photographed by Ayan Gogoi, and it represents the tricolors of the Indian National Flag.

                      LOVE FOR NATURE

Ayan currently lives with his grandparents, Purna Kanta Gogoi and Janoki Gogoi. He writes about everyday things that fascinate him. According to him, his grandfather inspires him to paint and write about new stuff every day.

“I remember he had once seen a rainbow and composed a poem, comparing his seven colors with the seven notes of music. Even the cover page of honeycomb was designed by Gohain”

– Purno Kanta Gogoi.

Moreover, it is his love for animals that forced him to write his second book. He would love to set animals and birds free into the outer space.

Ayan Gogoi’s first art exhibition, gossamer Dreams, was organized on August 3 at Mizoram University Auditorium in Aizawl. Through this art exhibition, he won the hearts of many art lovers. They were astonished to see the “bright choice of colors and texture.” The art exhibition displayed 62 paintings, and none of them were on sale.

“The main purpose for this exhibition was to make ourselves realize how amazing this world is”:- Ayan Gogoi.

Ayan has also been invited as a guest speaker at literary summits in various places, including the India Global Summit 2018! Being the son of Jitu Gogoi and Sangeeta Gohain, he was also hailed as the youngest author by the India book of records for his book Honeycomb published in 2018. Ayan has received the prestigious Global Child Prodigy Award, and he was listed under the top 100 prodigies as well.

This Child prodigy has also received the India Book of record Award, the tomorrow India Global Summit Award, the Asom Sahitya Sabha Award, and the Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha Award.

Ayan truly inspires us to be in touch with nature. He doesn’t restrict himself to any one form of Art. He never asks for recognition, and he genuinely believes in making the world a better place to live.
